Picture Cross: Review Introduction
Picture Cross Volume 1 is a logic puzzle picture game by puzzle.tv. Currently priced at $0.99, Picture Cross has a 3 star rating and 22 customer reviews and was released in August 2011. There is also a Picture Cross Christmas Edition available for $0.99.
Picture Cross: Main Takeaways
There are 5 sizes of puzzles to choose from when you start the game, from 8×8 grids to 25×25 grids. The puzzles have names assigned to them, so you have an idea as to what the puzzle will reveal itself to be.
You start by placing black squares on the board, filling in according to numbers. Use the white squares to make empty spaces, and the puzzle is slowly revealed. Stumped on a puzzle? You can go back to the main menu and choose another puzzle, and come back to the one you were working on later.
Once you solve the puzzle, you can automatically move on to the next puzzle in the list, go back to the main menu and choose a puzzle of your own choice, or replay the puzzle again.
Picture Cross: Conclusion and Overall Rating
I’ve played a few puzzle games along this line since starting reviewing Kindle Apps. I enjoyed this version and like the large variety of sizes of puzzles to choose from and having a rough idea of what the puzzle looked like in advance. I’ll give Picture Cross a 3.5 star rating, with points knocked off for clunky button controls and too many options in some cases.
